A weekend of fun-filled racing; for ThunderCat racing there will be a Longhaul race on the Saturday only; Cowboys and Indian boat parade with all the other classes on the Saturday afternoon followed by a night of mayhem; on Sunday both officials and racers can chill and watch the others race, enjoy the delights of Torquay and know that you dont need to go home till Monday as it's a bank holiday! This event is run in conjunction with ORDA (Ofshore Racing Drivers Association)

Teams are required to carry the following safety kit on board boat for this circuit longhaul:
Toolkit (flip kit) with a minimum of: Easy Start spray/WD40 – No. 7 flexible socket – 3 x dry spark plugs - spark plug spanner – Phillips screw driver, all to be kept in dry sealed container.
Orange retirement flag – 60mm by 40mm
2 x Paddles
Basic survival: 2 water bottles, 2 glucose (energy) bars and first aid kit.
VHF / mobile phone in water proof case – fully charged.
The race will consist of the start run and 8 laps of the 'B' course.
PLEASE REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO DO A LAP OF YOUR 'B' COURSE AS A TEST SESSION AT THE DESIGNATED PRACTICE TIME AS STATED IN THE TIMETABLE - THIS IS MANDATORY! THEREFORE YOU WILL NEED MORE FUEL.
WE ARE UNABLE TO DO A BEACH STOP SO WE RECOMMEND YOU CARRY 2 X 25LT TANKS THAT WILL LAST YOU FOR THE RACE WITHOUT STOPPING - IF YOU WISH TO STOP THEN ARRANGEMENTS WILL BE MADE FOR A FUEL TANK TRANSFER ON WATER... PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR FUEL TANKS ARE CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR BOAT NUMBER!!
WHEN YOU SIGN IN YOU WILL RECIEVE YOUR PASSES ETC...
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT FANCY DRESS FOR YOUR BOAT AND TEAM - COWBOYS AND INDIANS!!
WE WILL STAGE THUNDERCAT'S PRIZE GIVING AT 16.00HRS ON SATURDAY IN THE PITS AS SOME OF THE TEAMS ARE NOT STAYING FOR SUNDAY... WE DO ASK THAT TEAMS WHO ARE STAYING ON SUNDAY DO SUPPORT PRIZE GIVING FOR THE OFFSHORE CLASSES... THANKS.

PLEASE NOTE: AS PER STANDARD PRACTICE FOR LONGHAULS - THE WET WATER RULE DOES NOT APPLY - IF YOU CALL INTO THE WATER OR BREAK DOWN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO TRY AND START AGAIN. IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE YOU MUST RAISE THE ORGANGE FLAG AND DO THE DISTRESS SIGNAL IF POSSIBLE TO ALERT FOR MEDICAL/SAFETY ASSISTANCE. AS SOON AS YOU HAVE OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE RACE.
THE START PROCEDURE WILL BE THAT P750 BOATS WILL BE IN THE INSIDE AND P750S WILL START ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE START RUN. THE RACE WILL BE TIMED AND WILL KEEP RUNNING TILL 15.20. IF ANY BOATS ARE NOT COMPLETED BY THEN THEY WILL BE STOPPED. ALL THIS WILL BE EXPLAINED AT DRIVERS BRIEFING.
