ThunderTour has teamed up with the all girl kiting team, the Turbulence Angels, to offer free powerkite taster sessions and show off their honed skills.
The Turbulence Angels were formed in 2006 by a group of North Walian super keen kitesurf chics. Sat in the pub one cold winter’s night they were musing over the fact that it was so good to have some other girls to kite with in North Wales and that we should try to encourage more girls to get into the sport. They suggested the idea to they guys at Turbulence Extreme Sports shop in Llandudno Junction, North Wales, who agreed it would be great to encourage more women into the sport! So were formed the Turbulence Angels! Since then they have gone from strength to strength, introducing hundreds of women and children across the country to their exhilarating sport and running all girl kite trips abroad. The Angels will be on hand on the Penmaenmawr beach to offer you your first taste of powerkiting, give help and advice, and show you all about it.
