Team Microlink are virtually unstoppable with the winning combination of fast off the mark starts smooth cornering and incredible outright speed leaving the rest of the field in their wake chasing only second and third position as it looks like first place is already taken. In the third race we saw Sean Fisher driving 'G Spot’ to the standard that gained him World status in the 2007 Circuit World Championships. Major contender Team Voom Voom are having a very disappointing day... from the words of our commentator Anton 'I’m so Cool' Roberts "James will be dirty with himself".
As with the P750 Class our Standard class has one outstanding team 'Southampton Solent University', through Bligh Julius's aggressive driving and Simon 'Blue eyes' Butters angelic but affective body displacement have the right winning combination leaving Red Rourke and Zig-Zag Racing fighting for second and third positions, with Red Rourke having the edge with their team clothing design!! (Nice) Local Hartlepool girl Emily Houghton who got her initiation at ThunderCat Racing in race 2 with driver Amanda Castle launching her out of Team RAF but everyone was fine and back in race.
The overall event is excellent, fantastic hospitality by Hartlepool Marina and the local businesses and spectators. For anyone who comes to Hartlepool you must go to the Marina, enjoy their facilities as well as try the Japanese restaurant! Amazing - One of their chef's needs to come down south - definitely an unforgettable experience and all good! So far the funniest experience is watching Team English Heritage coming back from testing Friday afternoon and getting stuck in the mud... trailer and boat was seen coming through the lock, mud and all! Amusement for all!
