To meet this commitment, ThunderCat Racing UK seeks to fulfill the following objectives:
National Community:
- To provide our community with the best possible service and respect their confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest.
- To take an active role in building new and helping existing UK Clubs growth.
- To support our employees and officials in taking on social responsibilities.
- To encourage involvement in charity and make charitable donations through community fund raising activities and individual effort.
- To make a positive contribution to the environment.
- To conduct our business and sport according to the highest ethical standards.
- To maintain the highest standards of health and safety.
- To be a great place to work, race and have fun, maintaining a family enviroment.
- Advance thunderCat Racing UK, to be acknowledged as a professional sport that produces fair, safe yet competative competition.
Global Community:
- To promote ThunderCat's community and encourage growth around the world.
- Encouraging foreign organisations to start ThunderCat racing.
- Assist with training and demonstrations with new organisations in their coutry, showing the concept to spectators, governing bodies and potential investors.
- Continual support for both officials and racers
- Develop International racing at the highest level
- Give support and guidance to fellow ThunderCat members
- Continually striving to assist in the development of the Global UIM rules enabling them to be fair and accessable to all.
This is achieved by the appointment of a ThunderCat Racing UK social responsibility steering group to:
- Consider, monitor and review policy and implementation.
- Promote and encourage the corporate responsibility programme into the management of the business.
- To seek to continuously improve our performance on the key issues of the CSR programme.
- To embed the CSR programme into the culture of ThunderCat's and the minds of our community.
Helping others:
- Our community welcomes anyone to join whether you wish to race, watch or assist within the series.
- Anyone with a boat and engine that fits the class in which we race can enjoy our hospitality and friendship
- Disability days are organised to enable everyone to enjoy the water even if you are unable to race.
- Community programs are available helping youth to be part of team building exercises and understanding the effects and benifits of working and being part of a community structure
Health and Safety Policy:
- ThunderCat Racing UK has a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy to make sure that our teams can race safely and securely, to minimise risk to themselves or those around them.
- We ensure, by regular risk assessments and through continuous monitoring,
- All of our people comply with current RYA, UIM regulations, working hand in hand with Coastguards, RNLI,local harbour masters, councils and health and safety govening bodies both in our organisation and in the delivery of events to our clients and sponsors.
Racing and working side by side with our enviroment and wildlife:
- We trying to protect and rescue wild fowl on and off the water, maintaining harmony between man, machine and wildlife.
- We have recieved letters from councils and wildlife associations thanking us when called upon to resuce sea birds that have been caught in fishing nets etc, our boats can get to places along the coast that many hard hulled vessels cant.
