Hijackers 1 Year, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi
Has anyone any tips on stopping stones getting into the hijackers, the beach I use (Teignmouth)consists of very small stones and they are very hard to remove from the hijackers, they get wedged in and its a case of engine removal tip on end and spray hose up and smack the bottom.
thanks
Julian

You cant really stop stones and sand getting in .Just clean them out each time you use your boat.I normally deflate the hijackers, partially deflate the tubes stick a hose pipe in ,fill the space right up with water, have a gentle poke around with a bamboo or similar impliment then gently tilt the boat back by lifting the trailer at the front. It normally takes several goes, sand comes out pretty east but the stones are a right pain in the arse.

Hi Julian, seems like you are still having problems, you must just ask me, I really don't mind ........ I just stretch some shading net or canvas (not sure what you guys call it there) over the frame of my trailer to keep the rocks out ......
